Put the yes, the number or the date in the first sentence. The rest is detail for the few who want it.
An FAQ with last year's prices is worse than none. Give each answer an owner and check it when prices, hours or policies change.
Since August 2023, Google shows FAQ rich results, the expandable questions under a search result, only for well-known, authoritative government and health websites. For most businesses the schema no longer changes how the result looks.
It is still worth adding. The FAQPage markup states plainly which text is a question and which is its answer, which helps search engines and AI assistants that read your page understand it. The generator gives you both the visible HTML and the schema; use them together, never schema without the visible questions.
| Check | Why |
|---|---|
| [Placeholders] left | A published "[price]" tells customers the page is unfinished. |
| Longer than about 320 characters | Chat widgets, voice assistants and AI overviews quote the first sentence or two. Put the answer there. |
| Starts with filler | "Great question" or "That depends" pushes the answer out of the part people read. |
| Empty question or answer | Left out of the HTML and schema until it is filled in. |
