A knowledge base chatbot that answers from your articles, manuals and PDFs. Customers on your website and WhatsApp, staff on a signed-in page. The source under every answer, and a list of what it could not answer.

A knowledge base chatbot is an AI agent that answers questions from your knowledge base instead of sending people to search it: help articles, manuals, product PDFs, price lists, procedures. SimplyBoost reads those as they are, answers in the customer's language with the document shown, says when the knowledge is silent, and hands a complaint or a refund to a person with the conversation attached. It runs on your website, WhatsApp and Instagram for customers and on a page behind your login for staff and dealers. Set up in an afternoon, no developer needed for the public widget. From €39 a month, hosted in Europe, with a data processing agreement.

  • Reads PDFs, Word, CSV and websites
  • Source under every answer
  • Website, WhatsApp, Instagram, signed-in pages

How a knowledge base chatbot answers

It reads the knowledge base as it is

Help centre pages, the website, PDFs up to 50 MB including scanned ones, Word, text and CSV. Nothing is rewritten for the bot.

It finds the passages that match

In the words the customer used, even when the article uses other words. A question about a 'charger' finds the page that says 'power adapter'.

It writes the answer with the source

A short reply in the customer's language, and the article or document it came from, linked where it is a page.

It says when it does not know

No document covers the question: the chatbot says so, offers your team, and the question goes on the Missing answers list.

It hands over what needs a person

A refund, a complaint, a request for a person: email, Slack, the dashboard or a ticket in Zendesk, Freshdesk or Gorgias, conversation attached.

It gets better where it is asked

The weekly Missing answers list tells you which article to write. An approved answer is sent word for word from then on.

Knowledge base chatbot or FAQ chatbot?

The words get mixed; the products differ.

An FAQ chatbot
Twenty questions with twenty written answers, matched by keyword or a menu. Cheap and predictable, and at the twenty-first question it is finished.
A knowledge base chatbot
Reads the whole knowledge base and answers questions nobody wrote down. SimplyBoost also keeps your approved answers for the twenty questions that must be exact.
A helpdesk AI add-on
Zendesk, Freshdesk and Intercom answer from their own help centre, charged per resolution or per seat. Right if your knowledge lives there and the price model fits.
One knowledge, two audiences
The same knowledge base answers customers on the website and staff on a signed-in page; the internal agent also sees the price list and the procedures. Three agents per account.

Build a knowledge base chatbot in an afternoon

  1. 1

    Add the knowledge base

Your help centre URL, the website, the PDFs you email customers. SimplyBoost reads it in minutes.

  2. 2

Ask the twenty questions customers ask most

In their words. Where the chatbot cannot answer, add the document or write an approved answer.

  3. 3

    Set the handovers

Where a refund or a complaint goes, and who hears about a hot lead.

  4. 4

    Put it live

One script on the website, the WhatsApp number through Meta's sign-up, Instagram through the Meta login. Staff get it on a signed-in page.

  5. 5

    Fill the gaps weekly

Missing answers shows what customers asked that no article covered. Write it once.

Knowledge base chatbot questions

An AI agent that answers questions from your knowledge base, help articles, manuals, PDFs and procedures, instead of sending people to search it. It shows the source, says when the knowledge is silent and hands the rest to a person.

Yes. Give SimplyBoost the help centre URL, the website or the files; it reads them as they are. Help articles need no rewriting, and PDFs up to 50 MB, including scanned ones, are read.

It reads the public help centre pages like any website. Handovers can open a ticket in Zendesk, Freshdesk or Gorgias with the conversation attached.

It answers only from your documents and shows the source. When nothing covers the question it says so. For answers that must be exact, you write an approved answer that is sent word for word.

Yes, on a page behind your login, with the internal documents the public agent does not see. Three agents per account.

€39, €89 or €169 a month for 500, 2,000 or 6,000 AI answers, all channels included, no price per seat. Hosted in Europe with a data processing agreement.
